Peacock Sword Tails a hugely popular and useful fly tying material, ideal for wings, tails and whole wing on Pike flies
Peacock Sword Tails are the display tail feathers from the male Peacock bird. Stunning and reflective, these feathers are used for many tying patterns commonly used as wing material, especially Sea Trout and Salmon flies. Most famous fly is probably the attractor fly pattern, the Alexandra, a small baitfish / fry. Less commonly they can be used as tails and used as the whole wing on Pike flies too.
